As a quantity surveyor, you’ll manage all costs relating to our interior fit out projects engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. Working with our design and construction teams, you’ll be involved in a project to determine its specifications and cost along with the appropriate procurement strategies. You’ll seek to minimize the cost of a project and enhance value for money while still achieving the required standards and quality. You’ll prepare estimates and costs of the work, and when the project is in progress, you’ll keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability.
Here is what you will do
- You will prepare outline cost estimates for projects using trade wise division of costs on per square foot basis.
- You will prepare detailed bill of quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for our interior fit out projects using CAD software and excel spreadsheets.
- You will review and validate BOQ and cost estimates provided by our Mechanical & Engineering (M$E) consultants including HVAC, electrical, fire fighting, plumbing etc.
- You seek to minimize the cost of a project and enhance value for money while still achieving the required standards and quality.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, general conditions of contract, special conditions of contracts, list of makes etc.
- Prepare cost break up for individual items taking into account base price and associated overheads to determine appropriate unitized cost for a product or product assemblies.

We are looking for a professional with an intimate understanding of the fit out industry with deep knowledge of products, vendors, contractors etc. We want multitaskers who are not intimidated by the thought of juggling multiple priorities, and thrive in fast paced work environments.
Skills
We expect you to have working knowledge of AutoCAD sufficient to off-take quantities, and be proficient in excel. Numerical and analytical skills are very important.
Qualification
Qualified Interior Designer with prior relevant work experience in well established design firms with a focus on workspaces design. Short of relevant work experience on the resume? No worries. We care more about your attitude , aptitude, and skills rather than very specific domain experience. A strong portfolio, even though short on relevant experience, will put you in line for a callup from Studio Via Design.
