The Big Beating Heart of Australia

When NAB — one of Australia’s Big Four banks — set out to establish its presence in India, the brief went beyond workspace. It was a call to translate NAB’s values of integrity, inclusion, and innovation into a spatial experience that would feel both globally aligned and locally attuned. Our design approach drew from the bank’s Melbourne roots while responding sensitively to its Indian context. The result: a workplace that balances structure and openness, discipline and warmth — openig up the Big Beating Heart of Australia to NAB’s Indian workforce.

Zones of quiet focus alternate with collaborative hubs, reflecting the hybrid rhythms of a modern financial institution. Custom installations nod subtly to Australian landscapes and Indigenous forms, while material choices and spatial detailing respond to local climate, craft, and context. Throughout, the design speaks a language of clarity, calm, and quiet confidence — aligning seamlessly with NAB’s mission to serve with purpose, transparency, and care. This is not just an offshore office. It’s an extension of NAB’s identity — lived, experienced, and embedded into every corner.
